Affiliate disclosure
This guide contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Read our affiliate disclosure
ElectronicDrumSets.net is free to read. To keep it that way, the site earns money through affiliate links. This page explains what that means, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and disclosures.
What an affiliate link is
Some links on this site go to retailers or manufacturers that run affiliate programs. If you click one of those links and buy something, the retailer may pay the site a commission. You pay the same price you would pay anyway. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
Not every link is an affiliate link, and not every product mentioned earns a commission. When a product has no affiliate program, its button goes to the manufacturer’s store without any tracking.
How to tell which links are affiliate links
- A notice at the top. Every page that links to stores starts with a short line saying the page contains affiliate links and that the site may earn a commission. It sits above the first product link, not at the bottom of the page.
- A note near the end. The same pages close with a short “How this site is funded” box that links back here.
- Store buttons. “Check price” buttons and product names in cards and tables go through a link on this site that starts with /go/ (for example, /go/alesis-nitro-max/), which then sends you to the store. Those links are marked rel=”sponsored nofollow”, which tells search engines they are commercial links.
If you are unsure about a specific link, assume it may earn the site a commission.
How this affects recommendations
It does not change what gets recommended or how products are scored.
- Picks and scores are based on manufacturer specs, manuals and owner feedback, as explained on the how we choose page.
- Every product gets honest downsides, whether or not the site earns from it.
- No brand pays for placement, and no page on this site is a sponsored review.
- If a product is discontinued, replaced or has known problems, I say so, even if that means fewer clicks.
I also do not claim to have tested products hands-on. Pages are based on specs and owner reviews, and the byline says so.
Amazon Associates
ElectronicDrumSets.net is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
This statement also appears in the notice at the top of pages with product links and in the site footer.
Other affiliate programs
The site may also take part in affiliate programs run directly by brands and retailers, or through affiliate networks such as Awin and CJ. The same rules apply to all of them: commissions never decide picks, scores or downsides.
Images on this site come from three sources, each used under clear rules:
- Stock photos are used only with licenses that allow commercial use.
- Manufacturer press photos are used to show what a product looks like, credited with the source (and the photographer or author where available).
- Amazon product images, if used, are shown only through Amazon’s official tools and in line with Amazon’s terms. They are not downloaded or re-hosted.
If you own the rights to an image on this site and believe it is used incorrectly, email hello@electronicdrumsets.net and I will review it promptly.
Prices
Exact prices are not listed on this site, because they change often. Products are grouped into rough price brackets instead. The price and availability you see after clicking a link are set by the retailer.
